Leader Notes

County LIT Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship Final Cappamore 2-11 Monaleen 1-17

With promotion to senior already secured Cappamore headed to Kilmallock in the hope of wining silverware, despite getting off to a good start we just came up short.Early goals from Joe Lonergan and Bubbles Murphy Cappamore found themselves 4 points to the good at the interval.Monaleen got the start in the second half that we hoped for and turned a 4 point deficit into a 3 point lead.In fitting with the way Cappamore played all year, they battled back to level the game with only a few minutes remaining. However Monaleen got the killer goal to win a very competitive county final played in ideal conditions in front of a large crowd.Despite defeat it was a great year for the club and we can look forward to 2017 and senior hurling once again in Cappamore. Great credit must go to Liam Hammersley Manager ,Tony Power Trainer,Seamus Ryan selector and most of all the players for the enjoyment they brought the club and parish in 2016.Team Tommie Ryan Luke Jack Campbell Brian Coffey captain Davy Lonergan Peter O Brein 0-01 frees Eamon Gleeson John Ryan V Con Berkery 0-02 Packie Doyle Bill Creamer Conor Sheehan 0-02 Adam Coleman 0-01 Andy Murphy 1-01 Tommie O Donoghue 0-03 Joe Lonergan1-01 .Subs used Jack Walsh Eoin O Donoghue and Anthony Foley .complete panel Seam McMahon Eamon Sheehan Declan Deere Kevin Ryan al Jamie Murphy Conor O Brien Declan O Donoghue Eoin O Malley Paudie Creamer Billy Power Brian O Donoghue Ben Leonard.kitman Tony Foley First Aid John Leonard.
