Sunday 1st March 2020
Croagh/Kilfenny/Rathkeale 2-7  vs 0-14 Cappamore
Venue: Cappamore GAA Grounds
Cappamore U21s played a Croagh/Kilfenny/Rathkeale amalgamation (CKR) in round 2 of the U21 A championship. CKR started the better with two goals in the first quarter, which left Cappamore trailing 2-2 to 0-2 after twenty minutes. The Cappamore response came with scores coming in the ten minutes before half time. We finished the half with a score of CKR 2-04 to Cappamore 0-06. A margin of 4 points. The second half was a slow but consistent fight back, with some excellent work in the backs, only conceding three points in the second half. CKR relayed heavily in fouling the Cappamore attack, all through the second half, which was duly punished by Donal O’Mahoney at every opportunity.
